A Note from Benjamin & Dillon

Schmooze was created with a simple purpose: to bring people together and build meaningful community.

We are incredibly proud of what we built, the events we created, the relationships that formed, and the people who helped shape Schmooze along the way.

This past year has brought meaningful change. Dillon has been focused on his health and recovery, while life has taken both of us into new chapters personally and professionally.

At the same time, circumstances surrounding Schmooze have evolved in a way that is no longer consistent with the spirit in which it was created.

We are aware of the commentary and differing accounts surrounding recent events. We will respectfully not be engaging in that.

Our focus remains on the work, the relationships, and the community that came from Schmooze.

With that in mind, we made the difficult decision to step away from Schmooze.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, partnered with us, and contributed to what Schmooze became.

We still believe deeply in the idea that brought Schmooze to life.

While we have stepped away from this chapter, we do not believe the story necessarily ends here. When the time is right, we may have more to share.
